To solidify the education and management work for the 2026 cohort of international students in China, enhance new head teachers’ capabilities in foreign-related education, risk prevention and control, and refined services, and ensure the smooth progress of international student enrollment work in the new semester, the International Education School recently held a special training session for head teachers of 2026 new international students. Leading Party and administrative officials of the school attended the meeting, along with all staff members and all new student head teachers.
The meeting pointed out that head teachers serve as key frontline personnel in foreign-related education and student management, playing a vital role in the quality of international student cultivation and campus foreign-related security and stability. All head teachers should further raise political awareness, strictly abide by the norms of foreign-related work, conduct regular screening of potential risks, and firmly guard the bottom line of safety. They shall focus on the core task of education, implement refined management, pay close attention to new students’ enrollment adaptation, study, life and mental status, and accurately cater to students’ diverse needs. Head teachers should take the initiative to fulfill their responsibilities, carry out cross-cultural communication through daily management work, effectively tell China’s stories well, promote the high-quality development of the school’s international education, and contribute to the high-quality development of China’s education opening-up in the new era.
The meeting emphasized that the education of international students in China is an important part of the school’s international talent cultivation. As frontline implementers of talent training, head teachers directly determine the effectiveness and quality of international student education. Centering on the goal of cultivating high-quality compound international talents for the new era, all head teachers should adhere to student-oriented education and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.
